Gun-Free Zones

The recent killings at Virginia Tech have spawned a lot of new cries from the left, for tougher gun control.

I am trying my best not to politicize our Newsletter, but sometimes I just can't stay off my "soap box".  Here are a few of my thoughts on the matter:

As a society, one of the biggest problems we face is the whiney liberals who would have us be the "sheep" that we have become.  We are, unfortunately, passing this attitude along to our children, who now sit passively in their classrooms, or hide under their desks, waiting for the executioner.

We have forgotten how to fight.  Worse - we have lost our will to fight.

To survive as a Country we have to lose the attitude that we must "understand the pain" that drove a killer to take the lives of our children.  We have to remember that our Country was not built by pacifists who think that the answer to any confrontation is understanding and negotiation.  We have to recognize that there are evil people among us that richly deserve to die.  And, above all, we must quit wearing "victim" status like a badge of honor.

We are ripe for the slaughter.  But, it's not too late to do something about it.

Self defense is just that.

The job of the police is to 1) identify your body, 2) notify your next-of-kin, and 3) attempt to apprehend your killer.

Your job is to do what ever it takes to Stay Alive.

Practice, Practice, Practice

I take comfort in knowing that I'm not the only one with this attitude.  Here are a few other thoughts that I thought you might be interested in:
