Class is open to the public. Call for a schedule of Open Classes.

Class participants are limited to your invitees.

If you have a group (employees, friends, relatives, etc...) with a meeting room, we can come to your location for the classroom portion of the CHL Course.  Classes are subject to the availability of a DPS certified range, within reasonable driving distance of the meeting room provided.  NOTE: Driving time to and from the range does not count toward the mandatory 10 hours for the class time.

To members of the U.S. Armed Forces:

Our class fee is $75.00, for individuals currently serving on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces.  Our military fee applies to initial applicants participating in "open" classes.

**Travel to locations within Bexar County is at no charge.  Travel outside Bexar County is charged at 1.00/mile, based on one-way mileage from San Antonio.

***Cost includes classroom instruction, passport photos, notary fees, and range fee.  If you need to borrow a handgun, we will provide one for your use, at no charge.

The fee charged by the State, for a regular 4 year license is $140, and $70 for a 5 year renewal.  Seniors (60 and over) and honorably discharged members of the U.S. Armed Forces receive a 50% discount.  The State has waived the license fee for individuals currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.
